St. Pius X Update

From Father Dave:

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

A Blessed and Happy Easter to all of you!  I continue to pray for all of our parishioners and their families.  May this message find everyone healthy and at peace.

Our Holy Week and Easter liturgies have been celebrated, and now we find ourselves in the Octave (eight days) of Easter.  In a sense, because of the great importance of Easter, we celebrate the "day" of Easter for eight days!  Symbolically, the number eight is one more than then the number of perfection, "seven".  Thus, the number "eight" takes on a truly heavenly and sublime significance.

This upcoming Sunday, the second Sunday of Easter, is also known as Divine Mercy Sunday.  We reflect upon the incredible mercy of God for us and for our world.  The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, as revealed to St. Faustina by Jesus Christ, is traditionally prayed on this day.

Confessions:  Beginning next week, I will be available for individual confessions on the following days/times (until further notice):
  • Friday: 9:00am - 10:30am
  • Saturday: 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Q/A With Fr. Dave:  As I hope to start uploading brief video messages and updates on our Facebook page and Parish Website, I'd love to answer any questions you might have.  They could be practical parish questions or spiritual/theological ones.  Please e-mail any questions you might have to the parish office!

Mass will be live streamed Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m.

The recording will be available for viewing on YouTube and our parish website, stpiushome.org later Saturday evening.

We hope you will be able to pray with us!
